My goal is to show you everything I've learned about the masonry trade. I have lots of how to videos on blockwork and concrete. I also like making time-lapse videos of the block and concrete projects. If you have any questions put them in my comments and I'll make videos answering them for you!

In this video I helped my mom and cousin pour concrete in a factory. First we got all the tools around for the pour and set up the concrete bucket on the crane. Next we had the truck drive into the factory and poured into the bucket. We used the bucket to place all the concrete. Jon used the viber screed to do the big section and my mom hand pulled the rest. We bull floated and finished all the...

In this video we poured a concrete pad to lay flagstone on top. It was super cold and we couldn't get the truck down there. So Ben rented a concrete buggy and we had to transfer it all the way down the hill. We started placing it and I just made sure to mag behind the screed to fill in the holes. We got all of it down except a little spot and ran out of concrete. We had to get another truck to ...

in this video I show you how to set anchor bolts in a foundation. I missed filling the cores up so I jumped right into setting the bolts. I show how you leave a little pile of mud then push the bolt down in. Next I twist the hook to get it to stay put. I make them all stick up 2 and a quarter-2 and a half inches up. Last thing I teach is how and why you do double bolts every 12-16 feet for the ...

Переглядів 5893 місяці тому
In this video I put together a 1,100 sq ft flagstone patio. First I laid retaining walls and covered them with stone veneer. Then I started laying the flagstone. The stones were imperfect and a random pattern so it took quite a long time to cut and lay each stone. Once I finished laying all the stone I grouted the joints with mortar and cleaned the job site. Thanks for watching!!!

My basement floor was poured 100 years ago and is very thin. I have the headroom to pour a new 4" to 6" slab. With proper prep, rebar, expansion joint material, etc. is that something that can be done?
Heard of an angle grinder mate
A Home Depot bucket AND a Lowe's bucket? Man, you're disloyal.
I owe you a beer. I’m doing my fire place
I learned how to lay block as a teenager from my dad, who was an all-purpose guy and figured it out on his own. I'm now 55 and planning to build a small outdoor fireplace. I haven't tried to lay block in 35 years. Your vid is outstanding and demonstrates how to do it properly. Thank you so much for this video and your expertise. Awesome instruction.
Awesome teacher, thanks
Where your Verts and Ufer rod?
Thanks for this, really helpful. Anything to do differently at the base (where first block meets the foundation) or same thing as any other horizontal joint?
Thanks for the information that was tight dog!!
I would crack it 😂
11:00 at night I'm sitting on the toilet watching your video. Amazon backup alarm goes off and my dogs thinks he's here and start going crazy and woke my wife up. She didn't find it as funny as I did. 😂😂😂😂
What state are you in? Missouri?
This is the video I've been looking for for hours! Thanks man, nailed the presentation and cleared up the few questions I had.
Cool footering
I'd pay extra for the shirtless worker like him 😂
Wouldn't it be better to use a stacked bond instead of a running bond that way no overlaps from the course above?
Until u cover the cut line in dust… learn to measure and cut first. Note it didnt show the end result…. More yt crap content
I definitely didn’t cover the line in dust. And I have no problem showing end product
3d print it invention
Where is the footing?
Thats actually neat
Thanks for the video, looking forward to seeing the next steps.
Use half 6" block. So much better for a tight radius. No cutting. Cuts down on the lips.
I did use 6” but it was so tight I still had to cut them again. I haven’t done something that tight before
Great info, thanks for passing on your experience and tips!
Thank you!
What kind of mortar do you use?
Get yourself 1/4 pack of rebar Safety 🍄 Cap's, life saver for ditch Work 🤕😉, Great Channel 👍
Why don't you fill the holes with motor or sand as others do?
Excellent
Keep practicing mate, you'll get there 👍
Hey Mason, first off, thanks for the videos, great job. Hey at @5:28 are you saying that you pour concrete down into those holes but not any other place? So you really only have a solid wall, every 4'? I always wondered if you fill the entire wall completely, and if so, why not just form pour the entire thing instead of cinder block.
I have a dumb question. How do you know how light or heavy to lay the line?
this is what you call cutting corners.
I sent this the guy with those big mister trucks? Famous UA-camr I seen this dudes videos I know I’ve watched them !
Good stuff, man. I've watched a lot of your content preparing for a small addition. Appreciate the info and effort to put out these videos!
Great video
I want to build a house with my son on land we bought in Oklahoma. I’d live to see videos on block building from all the people correcting this video. Lintel lentil. Sigh. I was exposed to mold and it damaged my brain and building carrying blocks would help me tremendously! Anyone living near Honobia willing to earn a bit of money teaching us?
Respect to Mom
Where is the vibrating cowboy
I see dead people 😂
Where do you get the stone?
Great video! My question is how do I ensure that when I use the ramset on those hollow core cinder blocks, that I don't blow out the inside of the blocks? I just watched another video on using a ramset to attach things to hollow cinder blocks and the insides of those blocks were subject to a lot of blowout and spalling when you use a ramset.
The K.I.S.S. System Never Fails, Young Man Got Talent, Keep Swinging the Trowel
Why lift the block over the string?String should be on the opposite side of the wall you’re working on.
I'm an 30 year+ welder and I've learned a few things from your channel, young man. I like seeing young guys applying themselves in the trades. You'll always have work.
